the next big thing

the next big thing

his name is the one
up in lights
neon bullets on black

his name is the one
swimming in stands
roar of a rabid crowd

his name is the one
travelling with time
stitches on tomorrow’s shirts

I will never be him
I will never be the giant
but I can make a slingshot
